Griffith Media + Big Screen Studios
- Full-time, 40 hrs/week
- In person
- Richardson, TX
- $20–$22/hr + studio access
Griffith Media is a video production company that works as a fractional creative team for businesses, nonprofits, conferences and churches. Our work includes projects for Wells Fargo, Dallas College Foundation, World's Finest Chocolate and The Potter's House. Our sister company, Big Screen Studios, is a production studio in Richardson built around a 32-foot LED wall for virtual production.
We're looking for someone who wants real time on set, likes people, and is the one friends trust to catch the typo. You'll split your week between the studio and the production office. After hours, you can use the studio for your own projects.
At the studio
- Give studio tours to prospective clients. You're often their first in-person impression of us.
- Run small, simple shoots and podcast sessions in the content studio, where the cameras and lighting are preset: power up, record, monitor, wrap.
- Keep gear organized, labeled, charged and checked in and out. Flag anything damaged or missing.
- Keep the studio guest-ready: reset sets after sessions, restock supplies, take out the trash. A cleaning service handles deep cleans.
- When the calendar is open, shoot and post short-form social content for the studio.
In the production office
- Build call sheets and confirm crew for shoots.
- Send review links, track client approvals and deliver final files.
- Keep our project boards in monday.com current every day: statuses, owners and due dates.
- Proof every video and its captions before a client sees it: typos, misspelled names, audio glitches, flash frames, wrong versions.
- Schedule social posts for our clients on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
- Prep and pack gear for shoots, and work as a PA on set when needed.
- Use AI tools (we use Claude every day) to draft, organize and automate the routine stuff.
You'll do well here if you
- Know your way around a camera, even a little: you know what a lens does and you pick up new gear quickly. A film class, a church or campus media team, or your own content all count.
- Notice when something is off and can't leave it alone.
- Enjoy meeting new people and would have fun showing off a studio.
- Figure things out: you ask good questions, then go find the answer.
- Have a good eye for what looks current on Instagram, TikTok and on set.
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Can lift 50 lbs of gear and stay on your feet for a long shoot day.
- Can work mostly weekdays, with occasional early mornings, evenings or weekend shoots scheduled in advance.
Nice to have
- Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar editing experience
- monday.com, Asana or another project tool
- Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio or another post scheduler
- Podcast, livestream or event production experience
- Comfort working with corporate clients as well as faith-based clients and events
Pay and schedule
- $20–$22 an hour, depending on experience, with a review at 90 days
- Full-time, 40 hours a week, scheduled around studio bookings and production days
- Health, dental and vision insurance starting the first of the month after 60 days, with the company paying most of the premium
- 401(k) with a 3% company contribution after six months
- Off-hours use of the studio and gear for your own creative projects, after your first 30 days
- This role is built to grow as the studio grows
